  • I was a Signaller on Boats last course at Calshot ,finished at Pembroke then Jan 54 to Dec56 205 Seletar.I went as Radio operator on the high speed trial on HSL Seletar to Penang we went straight through in 24 hrs.and dawdled back vis Swettenham and malacca,we broke down in the roads to the west of Singapore on return.The photos brought back a lot of memories,Thank Peter C

  • Air Wireless Mech on 1124 MCU at Seletar for 6 weeks in '62.Swapped with Ron Walker while he went to Chiangmai. Also had a cruise around Addu Atoll in a TTL. I have an Air Clues with the 1124 "pirate chasing" of 61/62 - Happy days ?

  • started as deckhand marine craft maxey,IOM,was @ 1109MCU 48 thro 49, onto felixstowe,calshot,seleta r 50 thro 52,bridligton, back to seletar 53 thro 55,back to brid, demobbed 56 as cox. nice to see site and to have happy memories rekindled. best of luck to you all.

  • Former member of 1102 MCU at Falmouth 1955 to 1957. Geoff Carter? was also attached to the unit which was an anti submarine weapon developement unit working Falmounth Bay and Scilly Islands on torpedo recovery.
