I only visited Devil's Den once when I was just a boy. That was nearly 50 years ago but the memories of that one day with my mom and dad has stayed with me all these years. I always hoped to go back there and visit again some day. I didn't know that it was no longer open to the public. I am sad that it is closed.

Although I've lived in the southern Oklahoma area for many years, I have never been to Devil's Den. I've often heard my grandparents mention of going there for outings and how beautiful it was. It's sad that it's no longer available for the general public to enjoy.

Visited Devil's Den on July 4th of 1997. Such a wonderful experience! Would love to go back to visit. Would like to know why it was shut down from the public And the history of the land. Does anyone have information on Devil's Den? Please e-mail me @ jdkstevenson@verizon.net

When i was a child my family would get together for a nice sunday picnic at Devil's Den. Most of my family is gone now but i still have very fond memories of Devil's Den. I still live here and i wish that my daughters and grandchildren could have the same memories that i have it is such a beautiful place.

I have so many memories of all the trips I made to Devils Den over a 40 year time frame, and would like to talk or email with the present owner. My email is lh49ddok@attbi.com

I now live in Dallas, but I grew up in Durant, and I have so many fond memories of Devil's Den. I remember the low water rock bridge, and Fat Man's Misery formation. Now, as luck might have it, my future son-in-law is friends with the current owner, and he told me he would take me out there soon so I can relive a childhood memory. Thanks for the great pics.
