  • Hi Annalisay I could not figure out how to send you a personal message. Thank you for sharing these interesting historical photos. I come from one of those places in your photos and am developing a web page about the Sámi (Laplander) people & culture. Can I download and show your 2 photos of Laplanders in 600 pixels on this page? A hyperlink and by © annalisay will be added to your photos. My e-mail address is Saamiblog@yahoo.com Best regards from Saami

  • Hi there, I am Canadian, I was surprised to find my (originally German) surname under the first image. I could not figure out the context. Would you please write to me why is Stohl under that image, is it one of the portrayed German soldiers ? Thank you very much and congratulations to your awesome collection of pictures ! Martin Stohl m100hl@canada.com

  • Thanks for the trip back in time. I have a friend that was a German soldier in WWII, He fought on the russian Front and I always enjoyed listening to his account of his life during that time. Thanks Again, Paul

  • thank you for your pictures. I am an American who enjoys history. I enjoy both sides of a story and the smile of the young men in these pictures tell me that many a German lad died fighting for what he believed to be true, right and honorable. While what was executed under the Nazi flag was morally evil, I cannot say after seeing some of your photos that all those who served their country were evil. I can with dignty show and teach my children of those who where brave and loyal people be they American or German. Thanks again, Scott. ezekiel1660@gmail.com
