the wheel at bayeux......reminded me.....when i was a little girl, my parents bot a farm way up in far north-eastern washington state........from my older sisters' upstairs bedroom, u could see, on a clear night, the straits of juan de fuca, 2 miles away, & over them, the lights of victoria, bc.......in the ditch that bordered one side of the farm, there was a waterwheel, & that's how we got r water......my folks had a well dug, because the neighbors cows liked 2 tromp thru r water supply, lol.......a lady artist came n asked if she could paint the wheel n my folks said yes.....my mom had taken numerous pics, as well......when the painting was finished my mom bot it, on a layaway-type plan, & when it was finally paid 4 it had pride-of-place on r livingroom wall.......which was just as well....the men who maintained the ditches, came thru one day, when everyone was gone, n tore town the waterwheel.....no excuse 4 it, it was in good shape........people have no sense 4 history, sometimes! then, 2, sometimes they go 2 far the other way, as well......after all......pictographs & signatures on the emigrant trails, were once considered graffitti 2!! nice pics, great info n history......i,2, am an infojunkie history buff.....when it interests me!!! jeanne in north-central wyoming

Enjoyed your picture of Singleton Museum; I grew up in Singleton, moving over to Morgantown, W.Va., USA in my 40's to get married. The photos brought back wonderful memories. Thanks, Luigi.

Hi there! Loved your pictures of the Weald & Downland Open Air Museum in Singleton, Sussex. Up until 3 1/2 years I was a resident of Singleton, until my marriage in March, 2002. Your photos bring back beautiful memories of my childhood. Thank you. Please visit my website, where you can see photos of our wedding, and other pictures of Singleton! Best regards, Luigi.
