Album Description:

Various shots from the first democratic election in the history of Iraq. I was given rare access into the polling site for coverage. It was an amazing feeling to be a part of the history made on this day (Jan 30, 2005).

  • I have to compliment the feeling and time that you put into these photos. You've captured the importance and the meaning of this event extremely well and I am in admiration. You were fortunate to witness an historic moment, and the bravery and excitement of the Iraqi people. Hopefully, these photos will inspire those who view them and instill a sense of gratitude and duty so that they will be more apt to go to the voter's box.
