Thank you for posting the pic of U625 at: http://community.webshots.com/photo/26185364/26185364CoMdVKLhgx However, the comment information is not quite correct. The Sunderland did not wait around after the crew abandoned the sub. The Sunderland was damaged in the attack, and had to return to base. Two other U-boats were dispatched to rescue the U625 survivors. Unfortunately, all 53 crew members of U625 perished in high seas 2 days after the attack.
