  • German Soldiers at Summer camp? Yes! Resort! No, this is not Switzerland, This is an army post in Bitsch, France. Bitsch is on the French/German border. Bitsch was part of Germany in 1914. I served in the US Airforce at Zweibruecken Airbase Germany (1991) approx 10 miles from Bitsch, France. It is a active French army garrison. I visit this area. Nice photo Stephen Golden, Maryland USA

  • What a treasure you have here..My Father fought in this War, lost a kidney and part of his right hand. I have looked high and low for WW1 pictures, and I am overjoyed to find these. The postcards are especially great keepers.. Thanks so very much for sharing this piece of history..msdek
