  • Hello Bill, I like this album very much. The very ornate mansion at Orange Virginia is especially beautiful. It looks very well maintained. I also like that you put the extra detail photos in with the album for a closer view. The sailing ship photos are also very good. An entertaining and beautiful album. Hope you have enjoyed this wonderful summer. - Best regards from Muskegon, DeeAnne :)

  • Hi Bill, You had asked some months ago that you should make a trip to the West coast to check out some of the old Victorian's. A website here that will take you into that era. http://www.pacifier.com/~jimsu/sqbital.htm. Houses in the Astoria, Oregon site are the houses of Flavel, Holmes, Foard, Peter L. Cherry, Benjamin Young, Nettie Wilson, J.H.D. Gray, Ferguson and Peter Cherry are but a few. Many of Astoria's houses, 600 of them were built before 1900 and have been maintained in their original style. Astoria is not a place where the time has exactly stood still, but it has definitely slowed to retain the gracious quality of an earlier era. I hope this helps you make up your mind for a trip West. Ron

  • Hi Bill, Lots of history in this album, from the past and into the future. Wish I had the experience, knowledge of the construction of this style of building, cupola, round barn and the property to build it on. Very nice. The "Eagle" is also quite beautiful, partial to the Navy, of course. Thanks for showing us your interpretation of your style of architecture. Ron/Oregon Coast

  • Hi Bill, Really like this album. Especially the split rail shot. Thank you very much for your comments on my woodies album. I appreciate your input. I have a barn shot I took in New Mexico this past autumn. I'm not posting it yet as I'm saving it for a photo contest entry at our local county fair this summer. Would like to send it to you though for your critique. Please send your email address to me bobthecamera@sbcglobal.ne t. Again…Thank you very much for your support and gracious words.
