Hi Anne, Thank you for sharing these family photos, which I have viewed as a slideshow. You little think, when the midwife hands you a tiny scrap of life of how big they will be! I know that I never imagined that both my sons would tower over me - one of them by nearly a foot! In fact both my daughters are taller than me too! Maybe I fed them too well! In our family we have members of all three armed forces, though my husband and I were in the R.A.F. and the W.R.A.F., which is where we met. I am sure that it must have made you very proud to attend your son's passing out parade. Unfortunately I was not able to participate in mine, as I was ill and in the Station Medical Centre. As my mother did not have a phone in those days, it was impossible to advise her of the fact, so when she attended she was convinced that she needed new glasses, since she could not recognise her own daughter among the rest of the trainees passing out. After the parade was over the Flight Officer advised her that I was in the Medical Centre and she came over to see me. I would have loved to have been there, but these things happen! In any case there would have been no photos, as she did not have a camera then. This album has brought back a lot of happy memories for me and I hope that it will record many happy memories for you and your son, as he advances in his chosen career.
