    • I have been to your site many times and also on another photosite.. I am a descendant of Jolins and Lacroix. I believe I am related to your Gilberte Jolin as her wedding picture and my childhood picture are spitting images..am descendant of Theodul Isaie Jolin s/o Francois Zephryn and Eleanore Simonneau. You can contact me at superthread16@alltel.net

    • I've never heard the surname ALARIE being changed into OLEARY nor vice versa. English-speaking persons often changed ALARIE to ALARY, HALARY, HILARY through the generations. The French-Canadian ALARIE's came from Poitiers, Poitou (Vienne) France. I believe the O'LEARY's came from Ireland, but am not sure of this.

    • Could the name Alarie be the same as OLeary, changed into a French name?
