Art, I have enjoyed viewing your photos of Vietnam and Danang. I was with the 6924th SS from late 1967 thru mid 1969. I remember many of the things I see in your photo's. Were you with the 6924th by chance? Chip Tanis Boca Raton, FL.

Oh, what memories this album brought back. I was in Danang 67/68 with Redhorse building those buildings and watching them get blown up. I was in my barracks one night when five went up around my barracks. Starting right next to mine. It was very moving to see it again. No one could know what it was like in Vietnam unless they had been there and seen their friends hurt and killed.

Dear Art, your photos are very time-trippy !! Could you please fill me in on a Katyusha attack (122mm rocket fragments I picked out of my burnt belongings later had Russian markings!) directly on the Comint-types' barracks around July, 1967. I need the date for PTSD clearance at V.A. hospital here. I was at the Secure Ops site across the runways, at work when the rockets hit us in the sleeping quarters. I think only two men were wounded, but very badly. My barrack was hit directly in my cube, and the fire from it burned down the two bunkers on either side, plus the next adjacent 80-man billet on each side. The Navy-spook's billet was spared to the south. Also, what was the name of the mission the Navy "Batship&quo t; flew in their 121-s?? ( Compared to "Commando Lance" on the Air Force monniker list.) Thanks. E-mail: HEARTINTHEWALL@YAHOO.COM Rex Patton
