Wow, I thought I would never find a site like this. My first duty station out of AIT was in Korea at Camp Irwin 38th brigade C Battery 2nd Bn 71st ADA 1977-78. I was a 63B20 assigned to the motor pool. My motor SGT was SGT Haper, and Paltoon SGT I beleave was SGT Robinson, Our Warrant Officer was W2 King, I'm Just blowed away to have been able To see these pictures, to see the main gate just felt like it was yesterday. It was just as I remembered it, I also have some pictures of Camp Irwin and of the C Btry tact site that will be posted soon. Thanks for the photos, PFC John R Eastwood C BTRY 2/71 ADA Motor Pool/ Wheel Vehicle Mechainc 1977 - 1978.

Wow what a blast from the past hard to be leave that I was living in pobwonni 32 years ago. I can remember some of it like it was yesterday. I lived Big House and remember taking the Manning truck up to site in the heat rain snow and freezing weather. I worked on them damn genarators at all hours of the day and night. Then there was the Soul Club with 5to6 or was it 5after6. Then there was the day my roommate Steve Tressler offered a girl a piece of Exlax and she grab the hole bar and eat it all. Oscor, the one eyed frog and Soju yep those where some great times. I am going to have to post the load of pictures I have of the place. It was also funny that over my own 21 years how many of you FTA rangers I ran into in different place. Today I live not 2 miles from then Lt Kirk and teach his grand son in school. So to all the guys that where there from Apirl 75 to May 76 God bless and take care Larry Kastriba Ps look for my pictures soon

nice set of photos from YOUR era at C/2/71. I was there in 1967-68 when the unit was still at Camp Warner, just north of Irwin. Consider yourself lucky; I see you had brick, centrally-heated barracks. We lived in the stove-heated quonset huts. I was the Btry Clerk. Larry F.

We & the Koreans used to call this the Big House. All the rest were Quonset huts. I think the road in front ofthe gate was still dirt while I was there, maybe not. Steve Skinner C 2/71 16E & 16D 1974-75

WOW!! What memories your pictures brought back to me! That was another world in another day. I remember it all so well. Right down to the details of the main gate at Camp Irwin! Thank you. I wasn't taking pictures while I was there. I appreciate that you did, and now I have the memories digitized ;-) Thank you, SSG Chris "CJ" Taylor C-2/71 ADA Fire Control '77-78
