    • I sent this link to my classmates and got this response from one of them... "Boy! Could I make some corrections to some of the captions... There are two that calls for identification... One is the street by the old foundry and the other is the old "Swimming 'TANK". That is the long building on the river.. Only thing left is the cement pilings that are visible from the bridge on Cumberland St. The Church is located on the corner of Brackett St. The one captioned "Fruitland" is wrongly named... That is Peter's Tea Room and Peter's Fruit Store next to Benoit's... The "Brooks" theater was also called "The Rialto". Up over "Hood's Drugstore" was "Ignello's Tap Room". Boy, could he make Italian sandwiches. (My mother used to call them "Guinni Sandwiches"). . I believe Louis Ignello (his son) was in the class of '49 at W.H.S. (great football player) The caption of 'AI Fond' should read "LaFond's" a women's clothing store. It was on the corner of Brackett and Main and was set back along with another store from the rest on Main St. Regards to all"

    • On page 4 "need to be identified", I beleive the first is the building right next to the Armory across from the new American Journal office, it now houses Edd Cabral's Accounting & Triple A Trading Cards. The other looks like the old swimming hole which used to be just up-river from the bridge at Cumberland Mills. Hope this helps.
