I was recently at Arlington Memorial Cemetary when there were hundreds of WWII vets visiting. How wonderful that was! Thank you for your dedication. Judy of North Carolina

    • I am looking for any photos or information on my Dad who was on the Lexington 1928- he was proud of the electrical service to Bremmerton, WA and spoke of that and docking on an island that had trees filled with snakes often. I have one photo of his "crew"?? dated 1927 He had a tattoo of a sailor and a smiling Baby as he was called "Smiley" His name was Earle Claude Towne from Iowa 1908. If anyone remembers him of has a photo you would be my hero. He retired as a Chief of Police and passed on 10 years ago this May 18th - he was one hellofa man and my best friend and father. • To Julio and Frank, And I thought I was an "old" hand in the Communications business (well at least compared to today's young ones) having been the COMMO on board USS CIMARRON (AO 177) back in 1984. My hat's off to you, CWO Ereneta. It was your generation and my Dad's (he joined the USN in the Philippines back in 1945) that made it possible for the rest of us (I retired from the Navy August 2003) to accomplish what we are accomplishing now. Thanks and BZ!!! Bob Morales, San Diego CA. (rcmorales@yahoo.com)
